A glorious dawn welcomed hundreds of riders and volunteers to the 22nd Annual CGG Saddle Up! for SIRE Ride-a-thon, Saturday October 18th. Having a trail ride fundraiser seemed especially appropriate since SIRE exists to bring horses and people with disabilities together, working to improve quality of life through therapeutic horsemanship.

Putting the words of the “Dow Cares” motto into action, 65 employees from The Dow Chemical Company spent an October day making improvements at a nonprofit therapeutic horsemanship facility in Hockley, 40
The Spring site is mourning the recent loss of their horse Casper to a bout of Colic. Casper, a Paint with a white face and striking blue eyes, was donated to SIRE in April 2014 and began working in our program during the summer semester.
