The Spring site is mourning the recent loss of their horse Casper to a bout of Colic.  Casper, a Paint with a white face and striking blue eyes, was donated to SIRE in April 2014 and began working in our program during the summer semester.

He was a solid and steady horse who inspired confidence in the most insecure rider.  Fran Calame, mother of rider Alex Calame wrote in an email “Casper helped Alex over the summer to regain his confidence in riding again. I was so proud of Alex during their last class.”

Casper’s time with us was brief but his contributions to SIRE will carry on with his riders.
