I would have to begin with my sister Carmen Densing who became a SIRE volunteer in 2008 at the Hockley site. In 2009, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune illness, Wegeners Granulomatosis. Since this illness was diagnosed at a late stage, I spent months in the hospital undergoing a lot of treatments to save my life.
* * * MEDIA ALERT * * * The sun was bright and smiles even brighter as SIRE’s riders and volunteers imagined the GEICO Gecko painting the barn and pulling weeds the last Saturday of March. He was there in spirit as two dozen GEICO volunteers from Katy spruced up flower beds and painted the barn.
