Top Hands Magic Moments

Hootie, you are loved and missed

SIRE56-LWe are sad to report the passing of SIRE’s beloved horse Hootie.  After a brief battle with colic, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 the decision was made to put him down before he suffered needlessly.   He touched many lives during his time with us and he will be missed by staff, volunteers,

Why I Ride

I would have to begin with my sister Carmen Densing who became a SIRE volunteer in 2008 at the Hockley site. In 2009, I was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune illness, Wegeners Granulomatosis. Since this illness was diagnosed at a late stage, I spent months in the hospital undergoing a lot of treatments to save my life.
