Almost 50 people came, danced, mingled and had a great time. Development Director, Andrea Vickers, says, the roundup “went from 6pm until … well people were still there when our main SIRE crew left at 11.”

A glorious dawn welcomed hundreds of riders and volunteers to the 22nd Annual CGG Saddle Up! for SIRE Ride-a-thon, Saturday October 18th. Having a trail ride fundraiser seemed especially appropriate since SIRE exists to bring horses and people with disabilities together, working to improve quality of life through therapeutic horsemanship.

To raise $18,000 in honor of the veterans riding at SIRE,128 golfers braved bitter winds at the Willow Fork Club this month. Teams came from Demontrond, AimPoint, Rudy’s Country Store and BBQ, and more. Champion Restoration of Katy topped all teams to win first place and a complimentary round
For $25 you can select an envelope with a surprise gift card or other item. The average value each Build-a-Barn gift is $50.
You’ll also find two models of SIRE’s Horse Hugs available for $30 each. Choose either a horse handmade by SIRE volunteers

Over the weekend two of the three SIRE sites competed in area Special Olympics competitions. Ten riders from SIRE’s Hockley site competed and together won 7 gold medals, 7 silver medals, 4 bronze medals, and 3 fourth place awards. At the Spring site a whopping 17 SIRE clients competed and ended the day with 16 gold medals, 12 silver medals,
