With the New Year comes new beginnings. Joelle Devlin, Site Director and Head Instructor at SIRE’s Fort Bend site, has resigned those positions as of the end of 2013. We’re pleased Joelle will continue with SIRE as an instructor at the Hockley site. Joelle has been an integral part in helping to maintain SIRE’s vision of therapeutic horsemanship and upholding the high standards of PATH Intl. that SIRE always strives to go beyond.
Please welcome Toni McConway who is taking on the role of the Fort Bend site director. Toni became involved with SIRE about four years ago as a volunteer and soon became certified to be an instructor. She has been riding and teaching lessons around the country for many years. See her full profile on our About SIRE people. When asked why she likes being involved in therapeutic horsemanship Toni says “the idea of giving back to the community in a horsey environment brought me to therapeutic riding but honestly, it is what I get out of it that keeps me coming back. I love making a connection with a rider and I love that when I am in a lesson with one of our riders, the rest of the world waits.” Toni’s passion for riding, commitment to our riders and caring personality are all parts of what will make Toni an excellent fit at Fort Bend.
