On December 4th teacher Judy King from Deer Park High School brought twenty five students from her Counseling and Mental Health class to visit the Spring site. The students toured the facility and observed classes. They were also able to interact with several SIRE riders. Client parents Sabrina Teeter and Vanessa Santillan spoke to the students about how therapeutic riding has helped their children and answered their many questions.
This group of students are all considering a career in mental health or human services and were very interested and involved in learning about SIRE. We enjoyed meeting Ms. King and her class and hope to see more students from Deer Park High School in the future.
