comcastUPDATE:
Thank you very much for coming! All the volunteers, all the work done, lots of new folks seeing what SIRE does. See photos here.

Register or login to www.ComcastInTheCommunity.com (upper right-hand corner of that page).  After locating SIRE’s volunteer opportunity, select the volunteer button.  When asked “Who invited you to this project?” select “organization” from the dropdown and then enter SIRE. You’ll get lunch, SIRE will receive the fruits of your labor and cash from Comcast!

Saturday April 26th

4610 Sloangate Dr, Spring, TX 77373
Lunch provided
So let us know you are coming!

Everyone is welcome, including children ages 8 and older. About 100 Comcast volunteers are expected and Comcast will donate to SIRE for every volunteer SIRE recruits to participate.  It’s no surprise  we want a big turnout!

Dress to work outdoors in sand and grass and wear closed-toes shoes.

Volunteers will help with a lot of projects:

  • finishing the wood fence for the big arena
  • painting
  • planting gardens and
  • sprucing up and adding to our sensory trail.

Now in its 14th year, Comcast Cares Day puts about 75,000 people to work at more than 600 sites all over the U.S. Since Comcast Cares Day’s launch in 2001, Comcast estimates that more than 2.5 million hours and $11 million have been committed to local organizations .

Below are photos from other recent work days. Thanks for all the wonderful improvements!
